A Buyers Guide to Hampshire

We were recently approached by ‘What House’ magazine to write a Buyers Guide to Hampshire for their magazine. They asked us to tell their readers about areas to relocate to and the types of properties that can be bought within the county. The magazine is distributed to thousands of houses in London and the south east and we were privileged to be able to comment on the market in our area.  For more detail and photo (!), see the following…

Hampshire offers everything; there are areas for commuters, areas that suit ‘downsizers’ and properties to suit all budgets.

Within our beautiful county, you can live on the coast and enjoy the lifestyle that costal living offers, sailing, swimming, walking etc.  Our cities are thriving with Southampton offering international travel links and great shopping, Portsmouth with its historic dockyard, shopping and links to France, or Winchester with markets, Cathedral, cosmopolitan living and great links to London.

Further north you can buy village properties within 50 minutes of London and have the best of both worlds, living in the countryside yet being able to work in town with a relatively easy commute.  The Hart district is regularly voted the most desirable place to live in the UK; good choice of housing stock, great communities and within easy reach of London making it top the tables year after year.

If your dream is to live in a place where the horse is king then look no further than The New Forest, where traffic waits for the ponies to trot down the middle of the road!  Of if you are wanting to buy as an investment, the students at one of Hampshires universities are always on the hunt for flats to rent and returns are very healthy.

Read our Buyers Guide to Hampshire or visit our website for more detail on the different areas and properties around the county.
